Strasburg, VA is located in the Shenandoah Valley and alongside of the Northern Fork of the Shenandoah River.

Riverside Church was founded in the hearts of Pastor Tom and his wife, Colette. Their passion for the community of Strasburg, VA, and surrounding towns led them to take a leap of faith. The idea behind Riverside Church is to be a steady source of life-giving waters flowing freely, to bring nourishment to the community.
OUR PASTOR
TOM MOZINGO
Pastor Tom Mozingo was born in Fairfax, VA in 1964. Growing up, church was such a vital part of his life, that he only missed 1 Sunday – the day he was born! Ministry, in some form or another, has always been the focal point of God’s direction, including the marrying of his partner in love and life, Colette, in 1991. The addition of their precious daughter Mallory, in 1993, only strengthened this team, as together they desire to reach people of all ages and in all stages, for Christ.
From Fairfax, VA, to Montgomery, AL, to Woodstock, VA, using all that they had learned in each area served, God led Tom to start Riverside Church, in his own town of Strasburg, VA, in May of 2011. Riverside, a come-as-you-are casual and welcoming family, started in their basement, and is proof that the people are the church and not a building. They have been privileged for almost a decade now to watch God fulfill the scripture He gave Pastor Tom in John 12:32, “And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to Myself.”
ASSISTANT PASTOR
JOEY BOTT
Joey Bott is a dedicated veteran who honorably served his country before becoming a pastor to serve his Lord and community. He chose to pursue a pastoral role to enrich his spiritual journey and support our current pastor. His commitment to serving the community and promoting faith demonstrates his dedication to personal development and the spiritual growth of others. Joey is poised to embark on this significant journey with enthusiasm and purpose.
Joey and his wife, Ashley, are dedicated members of our church community. Ashley actively contributes to our praise team, bringing her talents to our worship services. Together with their two boys, they serve the church with unwavering commitment and inspire others through their example of faith and service. We are grateful for their contributions and the joy they bring to our congregation.
